As an artist, I venture into the creation of work that connects humans to one another through the use of personal experience. In this creative process, I aspire to cultivate an open and safe space for all bodies and minds.
In my creative research, I strive to create movement that signifies the unity between humans. Human emotions that reflect upon the human experience inspires me. Through structured improvisation, I encourage dancers to move throughout the space in a way that feels most natural to them. I believe this allows for the discovery of movement within their body, as well as the development of clarity within their statements. Allowing space for soul searching and movement expression has become an important part of my research as an artist.
Exploring innovative ways to portray human emotions through movement is a goal to which I am committed. I believe individual experiences help to shape and mold a dancer in their own unique way. I am continually inspired by dancers that welcome me into their personal journeys. Their beautiful movements never cease to teach me about the incredible power of human connection.
